Why This Is |
Hard copy maps obviously cannot show more information than their physical size permits. An electronic map, on the other hand, stacks its information, so that the width and the height are less crucial. Readers not only vary in their interest in a particular map, but that interest varies over time. Once you have know enough about Feature A, you want it out of the way so you can go on to Features B and C. You do reserve the right, of course, to circle back to Feature A at any time. Only an electronic map makes that possible. |
